Around the Barker House

 By my research, Brett's cheapness, and Papa's truck, we now have a play set in our back yard.  It is the greatest thing ever for two boys who love to climb, run, jump and be crazy.  The wild men are pretty happy out here!

 Except for then they are making their not impressed faces....because really mom, what's the big deal?

 If it's raining, Sutton will climb the table...ALL DAY LONG hoping someone will give him some food if they have some.  Or for the love of God go get him some.

 Oh, someone else is also adding on to our home.  Long limb Lenore and all her girl friends have been busily weaving us in our homes at night.  You have to mega careful walking in and out of doors or walk ways, near bushes, or by Lenore here who guards the water spigot.

Daddy has been really insistent about not staying at home on weekends.  We will either be out of town or piled up with activities, birthday parties, or outings.  With school back in session it seems the weekends are all we have together so we will take it!  I'm in the process of writing a post about both boys at their current ages so stay tuned for some glorious stories and stats!

PS  Let's goa ahead and file this under worst bog post I've ever written.  Really, send me the award ASAP.

Flying into Fall

 I told someone last night, if I realized last month that October was going to be as crazy as September I might not have been so happy!  But it's true.  This Fall is going to be fun and full....and we can't wait.

 The final unbearable heat is seeping out and the leaves are beginning to lose their green which makes being outside nearly perfect.  We lucked out big time when we found a complete wooden play ground for sale by one of our neighbors.  Mom and Dad came up to help move and clean it up and we have it back to nearly new condition.  The boys love it.  It gives us extra fun and exercise for the back yard.

Papa of course, can't walk pass an open body of water without testing a line.  Of course the second I walked away after taking this picture, they did catch a small fish.

The rest of the weeks bring pumpkins, the fair (EEEK ya'll know how I am), football, Halloween, Fall Fest, and Cornhuskin.  Add a few birthdays mixed in and we are right back to crazy busy!  We also have a lot home renovations in the works.  Very soon we will be replacing the tile in the master bathroom and then refinishing and adding all hard wood floors downstairs.  We just feel that with Sutton's asthma issues it will be best to eliminate these things upfront.  Fingers crossed!
