Here is a little back story of our family's addiction to Pack football. Growing up I went to a few ECU games and cheered for them...sort of. When I went to Meredith I always cheered for the Pack and enjoyed going to games. In fact, Senior year of college you could hear the announcer from our house we were so close.
Brett became a major NCSU fan in college and when he graduated bought what are called lifetime rights for two seats at Carter-Finley Stadium. The first time I met Brett after talking for awhile, he stopped mid conversation and asked me what team I pulled for. Let's just say I answered correctly. I had NO idea what I was getting myself into.
The first game I went to I was almost embarrassed by his enthusiasm. A few games later, I found my self calling a long haired Clemson player (the opposing bench is 9 rows from our seats) a little girl so fiercely he turned to look for me. We've been loyal from the Phillip Rivers years, the Chuck Amato exodus, and now the 3 years of beating UNC. From that first game until Moses came along, I didn't miss a home game for five years.
So as of Thursday night, I will lose Brett to college football and soon after to fantasy football. But for the most part, I'll be right there with him!
