Pig Jig

Did you say bbq cook off? And state fair type activities? Yes, we were soooo there! I read this week about the Got to be NC festival being held this weekend. What really caught my eye (other than free admittance and parking) was the BBQ contest affectionately dubbed the Pig Jig.

So this morning we braved the sun and crowds at the fair grounds and went to eat some good ole NC bbq. There were about twenty different booths with bbq, chicken, ribs, and brunswick stew. Um, YUM! We spent some time there filling our bellies and then walked around basically people watching. Meaghan and Steve met up with us later in the day and we hung out with them at Backyard Bistro. I still can't believe how well Moses did. We kept him hydrated and lathered with sunscreen and he was happy as can be. I think he likes to watch all the "fair people" just like his parents!
